One of the main reasons why I wanted to go to Siargao was to surf. I surfed a few times before, but I still call myself a beginner. I still fall and pretty much still get into the huge underwater washing machine. Falling sucks, but when you get to stand and ride that wave, nothing feels more exhilarating. It's the best feeling in the world. And everyone is willing to teach you..
There was that one time when there was a huge wave coming and I just happen to be right infront of it as well as another surfer a more intermediate surfer. Once that wave crashed I went up and he went down. Luckily I didn't hit him. My board was just kind of on top of his foot. ouch? I don't know he seemed fine and and kind of laughed about it. After he just gave me tips to just really hold the board and don't lose it. and I'm just there super red and gave him all the sorries I can give. Did I mention how attractive he was? lol ok... everyone is also so supportive. I fell a kajillion times, but when I get up I see people around cheering me on. It feels great. I want to surf some more. My instructor was also the number 1 surfer in the Philippines and top 5 in Asia so yeah I learned and taught by the best and I learned a whole lot. Check him out here John Mark Tokong "Marama" and we surfed at Cloud 9 check the link for surf reports.
xoxo, See you soon Siargao
